The Position: The Junior Accountant will be a part of an accounting and finance team of professionals working to maintain high standards of accounting accuracy and timeliness of reporting so that management may make appropriate informed decisions. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist with reviewing expenses and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts,
  • Assist in processing monthly financial statements both at the department and corporate level,
  • Update financial data for budgeting and reporting to ensure the correct information is available,
  • Prepare and submit bi-weekly utilization report at both the department and corporate level,
  • Manage and reconcile credit card and employee expense reports,
  • Assist in weekly time sheet tracking for job cost and payroll preparation,
  • Assist with other accounting projects as need.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Accounting/Business administration or related field,
  • Prior experience in Microsoft Office creating spreadsheets related to finances and accounting
  • 2+ years’ experience in bookkeeping or general ledger accounting,
  • Solid understanding of Accounting and Financial reporting, principles and practices
  • Excellent technical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work on several projects concurrently.
